Have you ever found yourself amazed at what you find when you actually spend a day somewhere else? You get excited when you plan a day away, even if it’s just an hour up the road. If you are looking for an adventure, we hope you come discover all that Listowel, also known as the Municipality of North Perth, has to offer. 

A vibrant and growing community, the Municipality of North Perth offers the best of rural and small urban environments. With over 12,600 residents and 300 businesses, North Perth is a desirable setting to live, work and visit. Located in the northern reaches of Perth County, in the heart of Southwestern Ontario, North Perth is comprised of: Elma and Wallace Townships and the towns of Listowel, Atwood and Gowanstown. We are a thriving community with excellent schools, health care, recreation and community groups for all ages.

Take the time to explore the three shopping districts that offers those unique finds with local flair. From cars to bird houses, we have it all. We have specialty shops, all the best in shoes, jewellery, gifts clothing and of course our famous Spinrite Yarn Outlet that brings 1000’s of people each year.

We are home to Paddyfest in March and the Home and Lifestyle show at our new arena. Don’t miss the Teddy Bear Family Fun Day in June and in July we feature Canada Day Celebrations and our Agricultural Fair. August is always a buzz with the Spinrite’s Annual Tent event.

We invite you to visit our parks, our 22 kms of walking trails, or if you are a history-buff, discover our Historical Homes Walking Tour that shows off our Carnegie Library, the magnificent homes built in the 1800's and the four-storey bell tower at a historical home.
